Stainless steel finishing balls use qualified cold headed and polished 304 stainless steel wire. They are widely usually used for the further polishing after rough polishing and secondary polishing, to greatly improve the brightness of the workpiece. Stainless steel balls are the most common finishing medias, but they are not appropriate for the nonmetal or soft workpieces. Because the stainless steel features high hardness, easy to damage the components during the high speed rotation, it is generally utilized for the finish of harder workpieces.

Because of high specific gravity, the stainless steel finishing balls are usually used with vibratory finishing machine. Before the first use, the stainless steel balls should be cleaned through autogenous grinding with the proper cleaning agent.
